Mittenpunkt Branding
Mittenpunkt is a technology and networking consulting firm, located in downtown Jacksonville, Florida. Mittenpunkt specializing in customized solutions, world-class service, and dynamic expertise in the fields of Government Organizationsm Biopharmaceutical, Education, Energy & Utilities, and Financial Services.
I was lucky to be tasked with the branding of Mittenpunkt and being a math fan, I thoroghly enjoyed the aspect of the project. Not just a logo, but more of an idea that helped explain the name—which is going to get asked, a LOT. So I tried to educate and entice the viewer with the geometric background, and usage of the acdtual mittenpunkt point in the icon design. I always tried to mnuever the background so the graph’s mittenpunkt lined up wherever I placed the logo.

The mittenpunkt, or middlespoint, is a geometric term describing the middle point of a triangle that is invariant under Euclidean transformations. Depicted with an excentral triangle around a given triangle, three lines from each excenter point and a Mandart inellipse. The mittenpunkt is both the convergence of the excenter lines and the centroid of the inellipse.
The three lines connecting the excenters of the given triangle to the corresponding edge midpoints all meet at the mittenpunkt; thus, it is the center of perspective of the excentral triangle and median triangle, with the corresponding axis of perspective being the trilinear polar of the Gergonne point.
